Babywatch 2008

Avi and Mitch and Natalie are all here (yay!), Danna came home from India, I am finally done with work and trial, and the baby is moving around all day long. Today is my due date and we are all twiddling our thumbs waiting for him to make an appearance.

Super Mario

I think this kid is destined to be a gamer...

My baby shower - 11/16/08

My baby shower was on November 16th. It was so darn cute...little centerpieces made of bibs and socks, and a cake made of diapers. Food and company were great! And we got a lot of great gifts.

This week at lamaze, I learned how to breathe. Next week, I will again learn how to breathe. Exciting stuff!

30 Weeks - Dayum...the tummy is getting bigger and bigger and bigger...

Cant believe I still have 2 more months of growing to do. He is kicking up a storm, and is causing me pain in my ribs. But that's OK. I'm enjoying it! Yesterday, however, it dawned on me that I am going to have to go through the whole labor thing soon. And that's a very scary thought.

25 Weeks and 2nd Wedding Anniversary

My tummy is stretching (I can feel it...its weird), and the baby is kicking like its nobody's business. I already feel so big and I still have more than three months to go! I'm getting so excited for baby...can't wait til he's here! I only hope we have a name picked out when he decides to make his appearance. Today was our second wedding anniversary, and we went back to the Roosevelt for another fantastic meal. We had steak with truffle mac-n-cheese (mmmmm), among other yummy things. :)

20 Weeks - Halfway there!

Halfway to baby! In the past week, I've started to feel him kick, but only a little bit. Also, I've gained 9 pounds total so far (very happy about that). A few days ago, I saw Batman (The Dark Knight), which I loved, and today I experienced a 5.8 earthquake on the 38th floor of a high rise. My boobs have grown way too large for a girl my size, and I'm thinking I'm starting to look a bit like a roly poly. Still feeling great, though!

18 Weeks...the belly's popping! As are other parts...

Not the best picture of me, but in the past 2 days, my tummy started to pop and I wanted to capture it. Also, my boobs are reminiscent of Avi's old ones.

When will I look pregnant and not just "kinda fat," as Robby so eloquently put it. I'm waiting every day for him to start kicking me...hasn't happened yet.

Being silly

Baby Kush - 16 Weeks...It's a BOY!!!

Third ultrasound was at 16 weeks, on July 1, 2008. Again, we weren't scheduled for an ultrasound but mom (Ilana) guilted the doctor into giving us one anyway. And it only took the technician a couple seconds before she knew that it's a boy!!!! This is the ultrasound photo of his "parts." Personally, I don't see it, but I believe her. She said that this kid is not hiding anything.

This week, my body started changing big time. None of my pants fit, and I am really starting to show. Here's proof...

Baby Kush - 12 Weeks!

Our twelve week appointment was on June 3, 2008. We weren't supposed to have an ultrasound this week, but since the future grandparents were with us, the doctor gave us one anyway. The baby kicked and moved and jumped around. All this action made the grandparents (and the future mommy) have teary eyes. Robby, of course, did not understand why tears were necessary.
This is also about the time that Robby decided he wanted to name the baby Atari (if a boy). I don't know what more to say about that (except that it will not be named Atari).

Baby Kush - 8 Weeks!

Baby Kush at our first doctor appointment on May 6, 2008. Baby is the blob in the center. After this appointment, Robby and I ditched work to celebrate in Santa Barbara. Mmmm...

April 11, 2008

We found out on April 11, 2008 that I am pregnant. I took the test after work, then burst into tears when I called Robby to tell him. We went for a yummy dinner to celebrate. Then I took another test. Same result. The next morning, I took a third test. Pregnancy confirmed. :) Robby also got his new receiver - the final component to his new stereo system - on April 11th. It was a monumental event (for Robby, at least), and therefore worthy of mention in this blog.
